What it costs

Outreach and backlinks are on every plan, Free included. Fresh link data comes from a paid data source, so some lookups use your workspace’s monthly data limit. The app tells you the cost before anything runs.

  • Free: pages quoted in AI answers, pages you add by hand, the weekly check that marks rows Added, reading pages, and your statuses and notes.
  • From your data limit, cost shown first: a link gap run (a few cents), a search for new “best” lists (the button shows the cost, or says free when saved results are recent), and the pages that link to you from one domain (about two cents per 50, saved for a week).
  • Automatic weekly runs keep a reserve for your keyword positions. On a small data limit they run monthly instead.

Developers can read backlinks and outreach rows through the REST API and the MCP server.

What it does not do

MonoRanks does not send email, does not look up email addresses and does not write to anyone for you. It is not a link index of the whole web: it shows the backlinks of your own websites and the sites that link to your competitors. Link numbers are estimates; a number alone never proves that a link is good or bad.

Questions about outreach and backlinks

Does MonoRanks send outreach emails?

No. It lists who to ask and why, and keeps track of what you did. It does not send email and does not look up contact details. You write to people yourself, from your own inbox.

What does it cost?

Outreach and backlinks are on every plan. Lookups that need fresh data use your workspace’s monthly data limit, and the app shows the cost before you start one: a link gap run costs a few cents, a “best” list search shows its cost on the button (or says free when the saved results are recent), and each page of 50 linking pages costs about two cents and is saved for a week. Pages quoted in AI answers, pages you add by hand, the weekly “Added” check and your statuses and notes are free.

How does a row turn Added on its own?

Once a week MonoRanks reads the pages you still have open (To contact and Contacted). If a page now links to your website or names it as a whole word (your site name, domain or brand), the row turns Added and says why.

Where do the pages quoted in AI answers come from?

From AI mentions: the questions MonoRanks asks AI assistants every week for your website. Pages quoted in the last four weeks that do not name you are ranked by how often they were quoted, by how many models, and by how much the question matters to you. It uses answers MonoRanks already has, so it costs nothing extra.

Can my AI assistant work through the list?

Yes, through the MCP server. It can read the list and, with a key that may apply actions, set a status or write a note. Every change shows up in Activity.

Can I upload the disavow file for you?

No. MonoRanks builds the file from the domains you marked; you check it and upload it in Search Console. Nothing goes into it unless you put it there.
