Can an AI quote this page?
Answer engines pick pages that answer early, say who wrote them and when, and mark their questions as questions. AEO readiness checks exactly that, page by page, and shows the evidence.

Seven objective checks
Answer in the first paragraph, the question as the heading, a visible date that matches the schema, a named author, FAQ or HowTo schema where it fits, one clear topic per page, and a short summary an assistant can lift. Each one passes or fails on evidence you can see.
Four editorial checks, with quotes
A model reads the page’s own text and judges whether it answers directly and early, is written for people, makes concrete claims and adds something beyond generic advice. Every judgment carries a confidence and a quote that must appear in the text. Low confidence is shown, not hidden.

Opening paragraphs, drafted and approved
When a page buries its answer, MonoRanks drafts one opening paragraph from the page’s own text, shows the before and after, and, on WordPress, writes it once you approve (undo removes exactly that paragraph). On other sites you get the paragraph to paste.

Its own number, and 30% of the site score
AEO readiness has its own number, and the site score is 70% technical health plus 30% AEO readiness; hover a score in MonoRanks and it says so. The editorial checks stay out of every score until the evaluation set proves they agree with people, so you always know which part is measured and which part is judged.

What it is not
AEO readiness does not promise that ChatGPT or Google will quote you. It tells you whether the page gives them a reason to.
Questions about AEO readiness
What does AEO stand for?
Answer engine optimisation: writing and structuring pages so that assistants and AI answer boxes can lift a correct answer from them and name the source.
Which pages are judged by the model?
Up to ten informational pages per audit, chosen by importance. Product and legal pages are not judged editorially.
Can I turn the editorial checks off?
Yes, per website. They are on by default and shown as ‘shown, not scored’.
Does it change my text?
Only when you approve an opening paragraph, and only that paragraph. Nothing else in the body is touched.
